Make Paper Snowflakes

  • First, begin with a square piece of copy paper. Make two snowflakes for every 8.5"x11" piece of paper by cutting the paper in half, and then make a square from each half.
    • Fold the square piece of paper in half diagonally to make a triangle.
      • Now, fold the triangle in half so the pointy corners meet.
        • Fold your triangle into thirds.
Now fold into the shape as shown. You may need to adjust these folds a little to get the sides to match up, so don't crease the paper until the folds are just right.

          Make Luminaries

Luminaries are a classic holiday decoration that are unbelievably simple to make using just a few inexpensive items that you probably already have at home.

Line your sidewalk or driveway with luminaries to welcome guests for your holiday party, or set them out the evening before Christmas or New Year’s Day.

To make your own luminaries, you will need:
          • Tea Lights
          • White paper bags, lunch-sized

          Make Snow Globes

This is a great holiday craft idea for the kids!

Almost any jar works for this project: Baby-food, spice jars, and olive jars are good choices. Use plastic or ceramic figurines. Don't use metal ones, they will rust.
          1. Paint the lids with oil-based enamel paint.
          2. Use sandpaper on the inside of the lid until the surface is rough.
          3. Use water-proof, clear-drying epoxy to attach the figurine to the inside of the lid, and let dry.
