Brain Boosting Smoothie

Banana’s are high in antioxidants, dopamine and serotonin. Dopamine boosts memory and attention while serotonin elevates mood and helps control appetite, memory and learning.

Blueberries contain pigments called anthocyanins that give the fruit its dark color and also boost brain function.

Hemp nuts are rich in Omega-3’s which are essential for the health of your brain and nervous system. Additionally, the compounds found in hemp seeds have been shown to promote memory, learning and immune function.

Apple Juice prevents the loss of an important neurotransmitter called acetylcholine which is critical for memory and brain health.

Rhodiola Rosea will improve sexual functioning and boost the libido. Rhodiola Rosea Extract improves mood and can also alleviate depression.

Dr. Oz’s Brain Boosting Smoothie

1 Bananas (try frozen bananas for extra thick shakes)
¼ cup Blueberries
A handful of Hemp Nuts
½ cup Apple Juice
1 tsp Rhodiola Rosea

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. Add ice and enjoy!

Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup mashed very ripe bananas (2 medium)
3/4 cup butter or margarine - softened
1 egg
2 1/2 cups quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice

Banana Roll

Just like pumpkin roll only without the spice and with banana in place of the pumpkin!

Ingredients:
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup mashed banana
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pineapple Orange Banana Smoothie

Ingredients:
1 medium banana (peeled, sliced and frozen)
1 8-ounce can crushed pineapple (packed in juice)
1 8-ounce carton vanilla yogurt
1 cup orange juice
Orange wedges, if you like

Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie

Here is a great kid-tested smoothie!

Ingredients:
2 cups milk
2 tbsp blackberry jelly
2 tbsp peanut butter
1 banana, frozen and chopped
2 tbsp honey
2 tsp wheat germ
