Almost any jar works for this project: Baby-food, spice jars, and olive jars are good choices. Use plastic or ceramic figurines. Don't use metal ones, they will rust.
- Paint the lids with oil-based enamel paint.
- Use sandpaper on the inside of the lid until the surface is rough.
- Use water-proof, clear-drying epoxy to attach the figurine to the inside of the lid, and let dry.
- Fill the jar almost to the top with distilled water, a small amount of glycerin and a pinch of glitter or crushed egg shells and then carefully screw the lid on tightly.
Shake gently and watch the "snow" fall!
